i have been learning to write a fractured fairy tale using what i have learnt about narrative structures and features. my fractured fairy tale was based on a real story the best part of this is doing your pixel  art. my next steps are to make my begging and better  by adding more detail

I have been learning to skim and scan non=fiction texts to find and summarize  information wewe read a story about whit taled spiders we had to find facts from the text and summarize them i found this tricky because a didn't now much about white taled spiders my next steps are to not to aske people

 We have been learning about celebrations. there are different types of celebrations we had to talk about these celebrations and decide what type of celebrations they were. i found this hard because i did not no all the cultures.                                                                               

Comparing Celebrations

We have been learning to compare and contrast different celebrations. My group researched information about Diwali. Something I found interesting was what i'ts all about. Next we worked with another group and used a Venn diagram to compare our celebrations. Things that were the same were not really the same. My next step is to put more detail and information in the Venn diagram.  

Repeated addition

W.a.l.t solve multiplication problems using repeated addition.  I found this easy because all you had to do is use skip counting.  My next step is to learn my times tables so I know the answers instantly.

this is my Pepeha art. a pepeha is a way of interdosing yourself in maori. i have interdising my
maunga mountain my awa is my river my culter and a place which  is spechel to me. My favourite part of this was colouring my maunga. I enjoyed this art.

i have been  learning to write an antonym diamante poem.  An antonym is a word that is the opposite. A diamante poem is a poem that is a shaped like a diamond.  i found this hard because you had to do the shape of a diamond witch was quit trekey my next steps are to chose opposite words.

I have been learning to collect data using tally chart and show the results on a bar graph I found this easy because you just had to go around and asking people in the class and tipe number 1 and then do a striketthow. I  wasn suprised with the results becuse star had more thin the others.  My next steps is to show  the data  on differnt  tyups of graphs.

Softball Skills

Yesterday we had softball skills and i felt t good because i did a big hit.

i have been learning to use metaphors to make it more interesting by making pictures in the readers head
i found this work easy because just write the ideas.  My next step is to use more metaphors in my writing.

We have learning to write a biopoem.  A biopoem  is a poem written about ourselves.  It has a special structure that we had to use to write our poems.  I found this hard because it was hard to think of ideas.  My next step is to make sure my poem is in the right order.

My Welcome post 2017

Welcome to my Year 4 learning blog.  This year i am in room 12 and my Teacher is MRS Melville.  i enjoy playing rugby with my team.  This year I am looking forward to doing heaps of writing. I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback.
